For the Ladies: Trailer Fashion 1937, 1938, 1948 & 1950
Today vintage trailer camping fashion is very casual and depends when and where you are camping or rallying. Some rallies even have themes and costumes are worn. Other outings are just camping and visiting.
JUST CAMPIN' ... AND THEN ...
We love our just campin’ weekends. We do not have to take or load our usual vintage props - no rally, no show—just plain ol’ camping with friends who are just part of a small group of vintage trailer devotees who enjoy camping, relaxing, visiting and sharing vintage trailer stories.
Destination: Lake Skinner Recreation Area Campground in Winchester, California.

1937 OLD TOWN BOAT & 1929/30 Old Town Canoe
We purchased the 1937 Old Town Boat (14 ft. wood and canvas-covered runabout) on an Ebay auction in 2007. We had to travel to Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania to pick it up. At about the same time our friends, Mike & Kay, also purchased a 1929/30 Old Town Canoe which needed to be picked up in New York. So, of course, we had to make a road trip to bring these two special items to our homes.
Kayaking the Colorado River in an Inflatable Kayak: February 14, 2014
Our journey began by making the Sandpoint Marina RV on Lake Havasu our base camp. This campground no longer exists. We enjoyed camping there with all of its amenities many times. Our specific goal was to take our Advanced Elements Dragonfly inflatable kayaks (we did not have our hard kayaks at that time) and traverse the Colorado River from Topock, AZ to Windsor Beach State Park. By road travel, it's about 33 miles between the two sites.
